Comfort Foundation- Russia

Latitude: 61.5240

Longitude: 105.3188

Description:

We support Russian Christians in the cities of Vologda and Cherepovets so that they may equip orphans, under-privileged children and teens, and young adults with disabilities in the Vologda Oblast of northern Russia to lead emotionally and spiritually healthy lives. Our staff of 11 work with over 800 children annually. Greentree members Sherri Holzhausen and Pat Grace serve on the board of Comfort Foundation in the United States. To make a donation go to our website and click on the DONATE button on the right, top of the page.

God is at work in northern Russia. Even during COVID. He has chosen to use the dedicated Russian Christians who comprise Comfort Foundation to remind children and teens that they are not alone and that, most importantly, they are worth the effort and the risk. They matter. They matter to God; they matter to our staff; they matter to you. Without your gifts, these children and teens would have felt isolated and lost; but YOU made it possible for our staff to find them….to support them….to remind them that they are deeply loved.

Prayer Requests:

  • For God to remove the spiritual and emotional obstacles in the hearts and minds of the children and young adults served by our Russian staff that they may know how deeply they are loved by God in Christ.
  • For God to raise up the next generation of Comfort Foundation Staff members to be trained and mentored for ministry.
  • For our new Mentoring (Matching an adult with a child in the orphanage) and Binding (an afternoon game program for kids) to be successful
  • For funds to become available to repair and renew the classrooms

Campus Outreach

Latitude: 52.4796992

Longitude: 1.9026911

Campus Outreach exists to glorify God by building laborers on the college campus for the lost world. Greentree member, Meghan Rintoul, is on staff with the Memphis region which consists of nine universities in the mid-southeastern region of the country. Prayer Requests

  • The Lord would work in the lives of the seniors on all of our campuses to have a vision to follow Jesus not just in college but for the rest of their lives!
  • That God would raise up laborers on the college campus, specifically with the women I meet at Rhodes College.
  • That the work we do in our office would help reach the city of Memphis and to the ends of the earth.

Grace4Kenya

Latitude: 1.4419683

Longitude: 38.4313975

Grace4Kenya Charitable Foundation provides financial grants to medical, educational, evangelical, and vocational faith-based missions in Kenya. Tom and Jill Moller founded Grace4Kenya Charitable Foundation in 2020 after personally serving the people of West Pokot County in Kenya for over a decade along-side Greentree Community Church. Grace4Kenya was founded in order to expand the number of people involved in these ministries, provide additional funding, and broaden the base of support.  What sets Grace4Kenya apart from many other missions is that we have chosen to develop a four-part “holy-istic” approach of health, education, faith, and opportunity initially to the geographical area of West Pokot County. The free mobile clinics, scholarships, and pastor support will most likely be a long-term need for charitable aid. As much as possible, Grace4Kenya plans to help grow the George Kendagor Christian Academy, Bible Faith Medical Dispensary, and Bendera Hospital into self-sustaining business models. The Mollers have developed longstanding relationships with a number of the key people who are on the ground and leading these ministries.
