Whether you are just curious about learning about the Bible or a seasoned student of the Bible, you will find engaging discussion, relevant messages, and an opportunity to develop relationships with women of all ages on Thursdays in the Women's Teaching Ministry (WTM). A program is available both in the morning (9:30-11:30 am) and in the evening (7:00 - 8:30 pm).
Jan. 28 - April 29 "Study of the Book of Romans" - written by Liz Hobbs
April 29 Sharing Day
On Thursday mornings, we offer a full preschool program for children 2 through 5 years that mirrors what the women are studying. Using a curriculum that has been developed specifically for the children in our Women's program, we reinforce the stories using the 5 senses. Each week we also memorize scripture, sing songs, role play and have a very creative craft for the children to take home. There is a nursery of loving caregivers to take care of the infants up to 2 years. Classes fill quickly so secure a spot for your child right away (no childcare or children's program in the evening). Jan. 22 - Joe White, President of Kanakuk Kamps will be doing a special speaking event especially for Greentree Women and the community. "Dorothy was Right! There's No Place Like Home!" Friday, Jan. 22, 2010 at 9:00 AM at The Lodge at Des Peres, 1050 Des Peres Rd, St. Louis, MO 63131. You won't want to miss this - bring your friends!
Here's a quote from Joe about the event:
“The most challenging part of life is raising our kids well at home. As I’ve talked to moms and dads and listened to their hearts, I’m even more amazed at the size of the job God has placed on your shoulders as a parent! We always strive to be a source of encouragement to you and perhaps provide some ideas and problem solving helps as you navigate these fleeting, most significant years of your life! I’ll be speaking on how to give your kids courage, heart and a discerning mind.”
The rainy season is due to begin the first part of March. There is a strong possibility that the people will stay out in the rain which means that typhoid, cholera and dysentery will become problems (this is what I am told, I'm no doc). read more
